Future Strategic Consequence / Future Strategic Context (2007)

Future Strategic Context / Future Strategic Consequence refers to a paper released by the British Ministry Of Defence in April 2007 called 'Future Strategic Context for Defence' (link). In this paper, the MOD tries to sketch possible developments in politics, society, environment, technology, military, economy etc. in the year 2037. The image that is drawn is a very apocalyptic one. This work is a reaction to such prospects.

Ecce! (2006/2007)

''Ecce!' was made for the 'Rietveld in the Oude Kerk' exhibition in January 2007. It is a two-piece installation/airborne sculpture, consisting of a golden, 1m diametre balloon with a wireless camera attached to it. The balloon was slowly hovering through the entire space of the church, moved by the natural currents inside the building. The captured image was viewable as a projection in a table, also placed in the church.
